Get your clips in order <ul><li>Download your files to iPhoto </li></ul><ul><ul><li>FLIP media shows up like a volume on the Mac desktop </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Look in the Flip’s DCIM folder for your video </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Drag your file into iPhoto </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Click on your file in iPhoto to preview </li></ul></ul><ul><li>We will NOT use Flip software since iMovie works waaaaaaaay better with maaaaanny more options for exporting! </li></ul>

Edit in iMovie <ul><li>Open iMovie </li></ul><ul><li>Name your new project as your first name </li></ul><ul><li>Look at your iPhoto video files and you will see your clip there </li></ul><ul><li>Select your video and pull into your project </li></ul><ul><li>Get rid of hiccups, pauses, blank space, etc.from your video </li></ul><ul><li>Check for volume and increase if necessary </li></ul><ul><li>Make a centered title slide over “star background”: My Hero: Name </li></ul>

Share out to the desktop <ul><li>Go to SHARE menu>Export using Quicktime>Movie to Quicktime Movie, default settings </li></ul><ul><li>This .mov file is what can be uploaded to a web hosting sites like YouTube. For our purposes they will be collected on thumb drives to be strung together as one video for a collaborative project. </li></ul>
