Research choices

  1. 1. Research Project<br />Step One: Choose and narrow down a topic. It can be about anything that interests you: a current event, an event from history, something from science, I ask that you do not do a biography.<br />Step Two: Read 3 articles and write three summaries. Make sure to get the citation or bibliography information. You will be using this to create an annotated bibliography. See attached.<br />Step Three: create your project using your information. You will present this project to the class.<br />Research Choices: <br /><ul><li>Poster. You can organize your research into an informative poster and present your findings to the class. The artwork and information must be original. You cannot copy illustrations from another source. You may utilize graphs, diagrams, webs, text, and/ or other graphics.
  2. 2. Brochure. You can create a three-fold brochure that teaches the class about your topic. Think of various headings and points that you want to make. Use both texts and graphics. Do not copy texts or graphics from any of your sources.
  3. 3. Song/ Rap (extra credit if you perform it). You can create a 3-5 minute song or rap that teaches about your topic.
  4. 4. PowerPoint Presentation. You could create a PowerPoint presentation and teach your topic to the class. The presentation should be 5-10 minutes long. It should integrate graphics, sound, video, and text in interesting and informative ways.
  5. 5. 5 Paragraph Essay. Finally, you could synthesize your information into a five paragraph essay that has an introduction, a thesis statement, a body of 3 or more paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cite materials correctly.</li></ul>Note: Every project must include an annotated bibliography using MLA format.
