  • 1. INTRODUCTION The APOBEC may be exposed to many environmental factors, for this reason the researchers believe there is a specific environmental factor causing the mutation of the APOBEC. The full genome sequencing for the persons with autism will help also a tratment that will improved the medical attention for these patients.
  • 2. Proteins involved in immunity produce cancer-causing DNA mutations, study finds NIH/National institute of environmental health sciences. Published on July 15, 2013
  • 3. The APOBEC are a protein family responsibles of immunological activities, these inactivate the viruses and inhibit mutations of ancient viruses present in the human genome. According to studies these proteins are influenced by enveromental factors.
  • 4. Studies made by researchers at the National Institutes of Health shows APOBEC mutations even with a greater number that other mutations in cancer of cervical, bladder, breast, head and neck and lung tumors.
  • 5. The researchers examined 2680 shows with approximately one million of mutations, whose results were the 70% APOBEC mutations.
  • 6. Personal opinion I think that this news is very important because shows a significant discovery that could change the cancer treatment and it could help to find a cure for this disease that causes millions of deaths around the world.
  • 7. First full genome sequencing for autism: promise for future diagnosis, prevention and treatment The american journal of human genetics. Published on July 11, 2013
  • 8. The autism is a generalized disorder spectrum of the development, it causes delay and especific alterations of the social development, cognitives and of the comunication with the environment. This study was conducted by the Autism Speaks that is leader in the science of autism in the world
  • 9. It was a study done to 99 persons, 32 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their two parents, and 3 members of a control family without ASD, of them were the full genome sequencing for the autism and the genetic variations for this disorder.
  • 10. Was also found in this study risk genes associated to ASD and to epilepsy, social- cognitive deficit and related syndromes that are responsibles of ASD.
  • 11. Personal opinion I think that this news is also very important because the discovery of the full genome sequencing for autism could allow the creation of new treatments to improve the quality of life of persons with autism and the people around. Also could allow reverse this disorder by early diagnosis.
  • 12. Study finds proteins involved in immunity produce cancer- causing DNA mutations. These studies could help to improve the health to persons with cancer and autism.
  • 13. The first news tell us about the mutations of the APOBEC protein in many tumors such as bladder, cervical, breast, head and neck, and lung; these could improved with that finding.
  • 14. First full genome sequencing for autism: promise for future diagnosis, prevention and treatment
  • 15. "In the future, results from whole genome sequencing could highlight potential molecular targets for pharmacological intervention, and pave the way for individualized therapy in autism. It will also allow for earlier diagnosis of some forms of autism, particularly among siblings of children with autism where recurrence is approximately 18 per cent."
