  10. 10. Creating a full Course Catalogue can only be done by Site Administrators
  11. 11. To create catalogue pages, go to Admin
  12. 12. …enter your details and click Submit
  13. 13. This will take you to your Admin page
  14. 14. For a new CSA, select Course Catalogue
  15. 15. … and then Course Subject Area (CSA) You can now add, edit or delete a CSA
  16. 16. To add a CSA, click here
  17. 17. Fill in the name and description of the CSA
  18. 18. Fill in the metadata and select the status
  19. 19. … and click Submit
  20. 20. The CSA is now added to your list
  21. 21. … and will look like this in the catalogue
  22. 22. For a new category, select Catalogue
  23. 23. … and then Course Category (CCat) You can now add, edit or delete a CCat
  24. 24. Click here for a new course category
  25. 25. Fill in the details of the CCat
  26. 26. Fill in the metadata, status and Submit
  27. 27. The Category is now added to your list

  30. 30. 2. Create a Course Introduction Page
  31. 31. Creating a Course Module can be done by Site Administrators and Course Providers
  32. 32. A course provider’s admin looks like this Course provider’s admins allow them to create courses and manage payments
  33. 33. A site owner’s admin looks like this Site owners’ admins allow them to manage their whole site
  34. 34. To add a course, select Course Module
  35. 35. Click Insert Course Module

  49. 49. … and return to your course page Note: if you are a course provider, your course is suspended until approved by the MLL admin team Tip: you can drag courses up and down to change their position in the catalogue.

  53. 53. Creating Course Topics and Assignments can be done by both Site Administrators and Course Providers
  54. 54. To add topics, start on the Course page
  55. 55. Select the course and click here… Tip: have your course topics ready before you start adding topics
  56. 56. On the new page, click Insert Course Topic
  57. 57. Add your topic title and topic
  58. 58. Use the text editor to format your text
  59. 59. Add web links
  60. 60. Show web links in a new window… … so that your users can return to their course page
  61. 61. Add images here
  62. 62. Add images from the server…
  63. 63. … or upload a new image
  64. 64. Embed resources such as videos Check out the ckeditor site to find out the full range of resources you can embed
  65. 65. Add a topic-related assignment Tip: an assignment shows after the topic under a Do and Log heading
  66. 66. Now set the status and click Submit
  67. 67. This will take you to your topics page Tip: you can drag topics up and down to change their position in the course.
  68. 68. Delete unwanted topics here Note: you cannot delete a topic that has a sub-topic. Delete the sub-topic first.

  71. 71. If you are a Course Provider, click here Your course will be moderated by the Admin team and set live

  74. 74. Creating a Course Quiz can be done by both Site Administrators and Course Providers
  75. 75. To add a quiz, start on the Course page
  76. 76. To add a quiz, click the Quiz icon
  77. 77. Select Multiple Choice and add details
  78. 78. Select Missing Word and add details
  79. 79. Select True and False and add details
  80. 80. When your quiz is done, click Submit
  81. 81. Go back to the Course Module page

  84. 84. Creating Promotional boxes can be done by both Site Administrators and Course Providers
