  27. 27. 5 things you should do online now…<br />$20: Use a blogging platform – like Wordpress – to build a website or blog<br />Buying a url will cost $10, redirecting your blog to the website will cost $20<br />Free: Get a youtube account and start uploading videos <br />Free: Either get a gmail account or sign-up for Google Apps and use the free email, calendar, and photo sharing<br />Free: Set up a Facebook Fan Page for your community<br />$10: Buy a vanity url for your community<br />

Online Media Tips<br />You cannot break the Internet – every mistake can be fixed<br />Set up a personal email – keep your work email and personal email separate.<br />Use an RSS reader.<br />Comment on other writing – blogs, Tweets, status updates<br />Purchase URLs – get to know GoDaddy well<br />Choose a good profile pic and use it everywhere<br />Don’t know how to do something? Google it. Google everything.<br />Use a good browser, Google Chrome, Firefox. Get rid of Internet Explorer<br />Consider getting a smart phone with a data plan.<br />Consider getting a hand-held video camera, like a Flip<br />Strategy, strategy, strategy<br />
