  2. Location • Switzerland is a land- locked country in central Europe. • It is bordered by France, Germany, Austria, and Italy.
  3. Switzerland’s Flag The White cross on top of the Red background represents Faith in Christianity. Now it also represents neutrality, democracy, peace, and refuge.

  8. Matterhorn • 4,478 meters tall • 1865 Edward Whymper led expedition up the Matterhorn • Only 3 out of 7 people in this expedition survived the trek
