Ni1 summer homework

  1. 1. NI1 SUMMER HOMEWORKHere you’ve got some extra homework for this summer. You will need it for theforthcoming year, so please apart from revising everything we’ve seen in NI1, practicewith the blog activities, do as much listening and reading as you can…and have a lookat the following units:-Cinema (Unit 6B)-Unit 7 (phrasal verbs and how to write an article)-Health-tv and mass media-EnvironmentENJOY YOUR SUMMER but don’t forget that learning a foreign language is an ongoingprocess, a daily effort and intermediate 2 is quite a tough course! SO DON’T STOPWORKING!!My piece of advice for your summer readings. If you don’t like reading novels muchyou’ve got plenty of material on the Internet or you could buy magazines such as HotEnglish Magazine or SpeakUp! They are great!!!!!!READING AND LISTENING ARE VITAL TO IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH SKILLS!For those of you who passed your June exams, keep working (in a more relaxing way yet)Watch films, watch tv, listen to English music, travel, read your favourite books and get anEnglish speaker friend! For those of you who have not passed some of your skills, work on your mistakes. It’s veryimportant to be aware of your mistakes. Read, listen and practice. Work on your basicmistakes and try to include more intermediate structures and lexis in your writings andspeeches. English must be part of your daily lives and it’s not a school subject you can learnby heart some days in advance.AND REMEMBER: YOU WILL ONLY LEARN A LANGUAGE IF YOU REALLY ENJOY THE PROCESSOF LEARNING IT!ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER!ELENA
