    1. Second School Life(SSL)
      • An idea by MAT T&L Students
    2. A brief description
      • This would be a web area for students; a place which could only be accessed by students.
      • The students would have the option of anonymity by deciding not to share their avatar’s name with classmates.
      • Students could check notes, make up labs, and socialize in the lounge.
      • First, we will present the lab area, then homework, then the lounge.
    3. SSL LAB DOME WELCOME TO SSL LAB DOME
    4. SSL LAB In the SSL, makeup labs can be done by students, once inside the dome, they take a seat and place the following Information into the computer, name, teacher,class and the name of the lab. The computer sets the time for the lab and the students teleport to the specific lab areas. Students can only makeup three labs per session.
    5. Make-up Lab Buildings Earth Science Biology Physics and Chemistry
    6. Resources Available at SSL Students have access to slide-in labs, when they are finished with one lab, the next lab slides in.
    7. SSL Homework Section
      • The teacher will post notes and assignments after each class for students who are absent or would like a review.
      • The teacher will also be available in the SSL homework area to answer questions and assist with assignments.
    8. The homework area could be accessed from the computer lab at the school
    9. The homework area could be accessed from home when a student is out sick
    10. The SSL Lounge
      • This area would be primarily social.
      • Students could talk and have sodas together.
      • School sports scores and lunch menus would be posted.
    11. Students would not be required to be anonymous on SSL; they could work with friends if they chose to.
    12. Social activities Sharing a soda with Friends.
    13. Checking the latest sports scores.
    14. Seeing what’s for lunch.
    15. SSL, a summary
      • This site would be a safe area for students, only students would have access.
      • Students could engage in academic, non-academic, and social activities on the site.
      • This would provide students with greater access to make up homework and labs when they had to miss class.
