  1. 1. Axiom software provides a fully integrated and automated data entry solution for institutions of higher education using Ellucian’s Banner Digital Campus. Axiom, developed by SSD Technology Partners, Inc., has been helping colleges and universities for more than seventeen years and has been a partner of Ellucian since 2001. Axiom’s products and services help its customers simplify the data entry process, providing a complete solution for universities that want to create online forms, collect data, validate it and seamlessly upload the data directly into their current Ellucian Banner system. Business challenge Axiom faced As Axiom’s business grew, its managers realized they needed to elevate their marketing and branding activity and take advantage of its new momentum. Its business partner, Ellucian, hosted an online customer community (called Ellucian Commons) within edu1world.org, an industry-leading online community serving higher education, and Axiom selected Enterprise Hive to build a HiveSocial online community within edu1world.org to enhance its exposure to its customers and prospects. With their community on edu1world.org, Axiom secured instant access to and the ability to communicate with more than 30,000 like-minded members of edu1world.org, including those members of the Ellucian Commons, whose Banner product is the focus for Axiom’s solutions. Axiom made this strategic move to reach current and prospective customers in a new, dynamic way. Axiom, for example, deployed its HiveSocial online community (within edu1world.org) to broadcast product news and information to help potential customers learn about its solutions and unique integration with Banner products. Axiom also gave its customers and prospects in the edu1world.org community a seamless way to interact and communicate via blogs, wikis, content management collaboration tools and robust information and profile search functionality. Within the first two weeks of launching their HiveSocial community, Axiom added over 260 new members to their online community. Providing customers a private, secure online community Once Axiom saw the flexibility and ease of use with its HiveSocial community in edu1world.org, managers realized they were ready to offer a private, secure online community for its rapidly growing customer base. As has long been the practice at Axiom, its customers play a central role in providing feedback and user testing to help Axiom evolve and improve its product suite. Without effective channels for communication, Axiom customers struggled to provide product and services feedback while Axiom managers were limited in their ability to monitor and react faster to customer needs and challenges. To address their challenge, Axiom expanded its use of Enterprise Hive’s social business software to help them integrate and deploy a SaaS online community for its customers. HiveSocial integrated seamlessly into Axiom’s business application, giving their customers private and secure online communication, content management and collaboration tools, including wikis, blogs, forums and robust document management and search functionality. Axiom customers were quick to take advantage of their new Axiom private community to post questions to their user peers and like-minded professionals to learn how others use and configure Axiom’s software.
