    • Examples of Data Sharing Benefits I • ‘Big Science’ data sharing is routine: space science, genomic epidemiology, biosciences, etc. • Alzheimer’s Disease Neuro-imaging Data:160 papers published using data: 80 more are in the pipeline (Feb 2011). • @70% increase in citations for clinical trial publications associated with making their datasets publicly available.19 Orbital DMP Meeting 20.01.12
    • Examples of Data Sharing Benefits II • Incremental Sheet Metal Forming Cross-EU sharing supported multi-university collaboration. • Email Repository @ 20,000 items: supported 2 studentships and collaboration with University of Sydney. • Anthropometric Constraint-Modelling Data (ADAPS, Delft) shared with and augmented by Bath,UK and Christchurch, NZ. • Machinery Packaging Data incrementally generated and shared between prime industry collaborator, researchers and students. • KIM Grand Challenge Project.
