  • 1. Coordination meetings between primary and secondary school Seminari de coordinació primària-secundària (INS Enric Borràs – 2010/11)
  • 2. Main objective:
      • Setting a common work line between teachers of primary and secondary school.
  • 3. Working method:
      • Working meetings between primary school and secondary school teachers.
      • Decide common learning strategies of students and innovation activities .
  • 4. Participating teachers:
      • 6th course teachers (last course of primary school).
      • 1st ESO teachers (first course of secondary school).
      • Other teachers involved in certain activities or projects.
  • 5. In the last 3 years:
      • Strategies:
        • Decide how / what kind of / how much general students information should be transferred between p-s school.
        • Decide how / what kind of / how much specific students information should be transferred between p-s school (ex: “AA students”).
        • Performing our own diagnostic tests of basic knowledge (math and language) of students in 6th primary course.
  • 6. In the last 3 years:
      • Innovation activities for students:
        • Making a digital journal .
        • Making internet radio programs .
  • 7. Method (Internet Radio Programs):
      • “ AA” secondary school students and 1st ESO students make and upload an internet radio program to invite 6th course primary school students to visit school.
      • Before the visit , 6th course primary school students listen to the programs in their own schools.
      • During the visit , they collect information of the secondary school and interview teachers and students.
  • 8. Method (Internet Radio Programs):
      • After the visit , they make and upload a “returning program” where they explain how the visit was
  • 9. Significant learnings:
      • Written language : Writing the radio program screenplay.
      • Oral language : Reading news & interviews (screenplay).
      • Technology Area : Recording program
        • Computer.
        • Sound Mixer machine
        • “ Audacity” (program)
        • Uploading on the internet (blog)
  • 10. Results:
      • Students improve :
        • Their written language ( writing screenplay program ).
        • Their spoken language ( rehearsing and recording program ).
      • Students learn :
        • To adapt their language to different situations.
        • To find information and use technology systems (computer, mixer and internet web/blog).
  • 11. Prospects and future improvement:
      • Consolidated activity between primary an secondary school.
      • Primary and secondary schools will be able to make their own “subjects radio programs” (history programs, science programs, news…)
