PMG-1112 | Most Widely Accepted and Trusted Page 2 of 2Models: D’MAND CIRC® System which consists of: ACT® D’MAND CIRC® System control box Ultra-sensitive flow sensor, motion sensor, or pressure sensor* Wet-rotor centrifugal pump* *Additional information on electronic components can be found under UL® E178723 and E96215 Systems are designed to maintain usage temperatures in hot water pipes, such as hot water recirculating systems and must turn off automatically when the hot water is not operational and must have demand sensing controls that turn off the system when there is no demand when the system is operational. A check valve or similar device must be located between the circulator pump and the water heating equipment to prevent water from flowing backwards through the recirculation loop.Conditions of Listing: 1. D’MAND CIRC® System must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s published installation instructions and the applicable code. 2. The unit shall be permanently and legibly marked with the manufacturer’s name or trademark, the model number, and date manufactured. 3. D’MAND CIRC® can be installed as part of a circulation hot water system in accordance with IgCC Section 608.8, IPC Section 503, and Chapter 5 UPC and must provide an automatic or readily accessible manual switch to turn off the hot water circulating pump when not in use. 4. Pumps must be either a hard-wired or wireless activation control. The controls for the pump must be electronic and operate on the principal of shutting off the pump with a rise in temperature. Electronic controls shall have a lock-out to prevent exceeding of 105°F in the event of failure of the device that senses temperature rise. The electronic controls must have a lock out mode for not more than 5 minutes that prevents extended operation of the pump if the sensor fails or damages. 5. D’MAND CIRC® Systems are manufactured by Enovative Kontrol Systems in Venice, CA under a quality control program with annual surveillance inspections by ICC-ES.
