Why Chicago????<br />Reasons:<br />Why the he!! not???<br />Don’t even think about answering that<br />Direct transportation from Lafayette to Union Station; 3 hours and 33 minutes by Amtrak<br />About an hour longer than driving from Purdue but without the worries of parking fees, car crashes, gas or having enough space<br />Looking to save this $pring Break???<br />Cheaper overall trip compared to air travel down south somewhere; transportation is relatively cheap per person<br />If you’re looking for vacation and a little down time<br />Trip is from Monday to Friday – four days outside of trip to relax and do whatever you want; food costs cheaper during the week<br />City and surrounding area arefull of thingsto do (many free activities): museums, opera (college student discounts), sports teams, other attractions<br />I haven’t been there since 6th grade<br />

Offers “NEXT Student” discounts for full-time college students</li></ul>Purdue is one of their accepted universities; discounted tickets cost $20 or less for any remaining available seats in the house<br />Carmen – famous opera is showing during the week of spring break<br />If this thing goes down – ladies …this is a dress up night. Guys, dust off those tuxedos. (Ellen)<br />Registered students are notified of discounts fairly close to the date so I’ll keep the opera status updated if anyone is interested<br />I can’t say I’ve ever been to an opera so this sounds pretty sweet to me; plus, Arnold’s class went to this opera for a field trip in an episode of Hey Arnold back in the day.<br /><ul><li>Visit here to register for NEXT discount notifications and get more information if interested:
