  1. 1. St. Petersburg ● It measures 600 km2 ● It was established by the “zar” Pedro el Grande. ● Its the second most important Russian city.
  2. 2. Situation.● Situated in the North-West of Russia near Neva bay.
  3. 3. A small part of historyAfter the die of the leader Lenin, St. Petersburg was proclaimed as Leningrado.During the W W ll (second world war) Leningrado was in nazi hands.
  4. 4. Population. ● In 1725 it had 75,000 habitants. ● Now, in 2013 it has got 4.039.751 habitants.
  5. 5. Money.● The money is the Russian ruble and one euro are 39 rubles.● There are many bills (100,500, 1.000 and 5.000 RUB)
  6. 6. Monuments and flag.
  7. 7. Tipical food. ● This is the “shaslik”. ● Its a tipical Russian meal. ● Is only a brochette of meat with salad.
  8. 8. Tipical drink.● The tipical drink is the famous vodka and it has got many forms (caramelized, red, white etc.)
