  4. 4. He was betrothed to Borte but refused to marry.After his family was cast out into the coldAnd his half-brothers were killed, Temujin didn’t tarry:He wed Borte before he was 16 years old.
  5. 5. And Temujin, oh so great, A fantastic empire would create;Renowned for strength, smarts, and power, He’d rule until his life turned sour.
  6. 6. Quite soon Temujin had collected and cared For a group of followers that adored him; He unified many tribes, and for this he declaredHimself the Great Khan Genghis, full of vim.
