1. Research into possible equipment I will need for my task
I have looked into the equipment I will need to film my music video. I’m most likely going to
be using the Canon 550D camera to film due to its high quality, and professional look that it
produces. This is a key quality as I want my music video to look as professional as it can. As
well as this, my school have many Canon 550D’s, which means I am able to access a camera
easily, and can take it home over the summer to film, which is a great opportunity as many
others would have to go out and purchase a camera of such high quality which can be
extremely costly. Not only this, the Cannon 550D is a perfect size for me. It has a case that it
can fit into, which can also hold its charger. This means I can travel with the camera to my
different locations with ease. Another piece of equipment that I will need to film is a tripod.
The tripod will give me stability and make the movement of the camera sleek and much
smoother than if I was to film with me holding the camera.
I also need equipment so that I can take images that will be later used for my digipak. I will again be using
the Canon 550D, as again I feel it can produce great quality images that look professional. There is also an
option to attachflash to the camera, which will allow me to capture images in darkened places. I will most
likely be using the flash in a few pictures as I will be taking some indoors. However I will not need the flash if
I decide to take some photos for my digipak outside.

2. For post-production editing I will be using Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects. I
will be using Adobe Premiere to edit my music video, After Effects to add special effects to
my music video and lastly Photoshop to edit my photos that will be used in my digipak.
