A2 Advanced Production Q3

 1. 1. Emily Arnold http://emilyarnoldmediacoursework.blogspot.com/
 2. 2.

Over the months of me creating my newspaper, website and poster I relied on audience feedback in order to improve my work and get a good perspective of what the audience liked, as well and what needed improving in order to look like a professional newspaper that they would read. It also helped me a lot by having another persons view on what worked well and what didn’t. I mainly decided to print of my work and show it to a selection of people and asked for their feedback on the postive and negative things about my media product. I also created different versions, especially of my newspaper and where things were placed to see what my audience preferred which then changed the way in which I did things.

 3. 3. Another piece of feedback I received by printing off my website and showing it to my audience, I discovered that many people thought that the photo I used on for my cocaine story was too big and had ‘dead space’ (space that doesn’t mean anything in the photograph and is wasted) and that I could do with editing this, so I decided to crop my photo and the picture above show the results. 4. 4.

http://emilyarnoldmediacoursework.blogspot.com/2011/03/ive-now-produced-my-finished-website.html

This is my blog post about how I edited my website after printing out copies and asking people of various ages and gender what they thought worked well and what they thought didn’t work well. With this feedback I decided to edit my page by removing some of the links at the bottom and also added an advert onto the side of my website page.

Updated webpage after audience feedback.
 5. 5.

http://emilyarnoldmediacoursework.blogspot.com/2011/02/ive-now-added-another-article-in-bottom.html

This is my blog post about how I edited my newspaper after printing out copies and asking people of various ages and gender what they thought worked well and what they thought didn’t work well and also what I should place in the bottom right hand corner. The main audience feedback I received was that the newspaper needed more pictures in order to break up the text and make it seem a lot more interesting. Therefore I decided to add an article there a lot with a picture I took of some Christmas lights.

Updated newspaper after audience feedback.
 6. 6.

http://emilyarnoldmediacoursework.blogspot.com/2011/02/i-decided-i-was-going-to-add-headline.html

This is my blog post about how I edited my newspaper after printing out copies and asking people of various ages and gender what version they liked best as I was unable to decide where to place the headline and if it looked better under the photo of on top of the photo. After receiving my feedback I discovered that placing the headline under the photograph was a clear favorite and therefore decided to use this on my newspaper.

 7. 7.

http://emilyarnoldmediacoursework.blogspot.com/2010/12/order-to-make-newspaper-look-more.html

This is my blog post about how I edited my newspaper after printing out copies and asking people of various ages and gender what version they liked best as I was unable to decide where to place the ‘win a £500 Westfield gift card’ headline and if it looked better on top of the image in white on just below the image in black with a white background. My audience feedback showed that they liked both images but most people thought that having the white text on top was in fact a better design and a lot more easy on the eye. Therefore with this feedback I decided to place the text on top of the image.

 8. 8.

My audience feedback also helped me when creating my poster, for example I originally had plain white text but when printing off this version of the poster and showing it to various different people I was told that the text needed to stand out a bit more and have an outline as such. With this in mind I decided to add an outline to the text and went with the colour red because red, grey and white are my products colour scheme.
