    • British youth were influenced by American music brought overseas to Liverpool, the birthplace of the “beat boom”
    • British teens developed a new sound that blended American music with their own English influence
  • 3. Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show
    • February 9, 1964 truly opened America’s doors to a wave of British American music talent
    • The arrival of the Beatles on the show was a huge success, and other bands were quick to follow suit
