In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? <ul><li>The genre of our film is mainly HORROR </li></ul><ul><li>CHARACTERS </li></ul><ul><li>Heroine: Faye – Conventional for the hero to be brave, however it isn’t expected for the hero to be a woman </li></ul><ul><li>Aaron – Known as the donor. </li></ul><ul><li>Kyle – Known as the false hero. </li></ul><ul><li>Lacey – The silent type which everyone would expect is the killer </li></ul><ul><li>Rachel – The stereotypical promiscuous character. </li></ul><ul><li>Alice – Known as the villain. </li></ul><ul><li>The personalities of the characters were mainly influenced by the characters portrayed in exciting teen horror movies such as the ‘Asylum’ and ‘House of Wax’ </li></ul>

How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks <ul><li>Colour Scheme: </li></ul><ul><li>Consistent – Black (background), Red and White (text) </li></ul><ul><li>Font: </li></ul><ul><li>Consistent in all media productions </li></ul><ul><li>Imagery: </li></ul><ul><li>Distinctly shows the genre of the film </li></ul><ul><li>Main poster image is also used on the website </li></ul><ul><li>Language: </li></ul><ul><li>Directed to the target audience to appeal to them – in both the trailer and posters </li></ul>

What have you learnt from your audience feedback? <ul><li>Presented our trailer (first screening) and posters to Year 12 and gained feedback </li></ul><ul><li>They were our initial target audience </li></ul><ul><li>Ask other year 12 and 13 as well as other people within your target audience (non-media students) </li></ul>Changes… Positives Negatives Good soundtrack – works well with mobile graphics It was not clear who/what the killer is The telephone effect = good Choose more variation in time Good use of editing to show the film in a horrific way Silence before the scream creates tension – good use of diagetic and non-diagetic sound
