This document discusses technology trends in engineering education based on analyses from the 2010 Horizon Report, 2010-2011 EDUCON survey, and the 2012 Engineering Education Report project. The Engineering Education Report project collects information annually on technologies likely to impact engineering education. It analyzes trends by technology, challenges, year, region, country, and discipline. The 2011 survey found virtual and remote labs to have the most potential impact in the medium-long term, but challenges include infrastructure development, funding, and creative learning design. Participation in the 2012 survey and report is encouraged.
