PREPARATION PHASE This phase is basically for preparation of the main Project; Working with the most ACTIVE and committed Organizing Committee of AIESEC IFM. Things that intern will do involves: 1. Selling 2. Finance Management 3. Events Planning 4. Preparation of Global village
1st WEEK interns shall be given achance to get acquainted to theTanzanian lifestyle….This is by learning the differentcultures and some basic Swahiliphrases and greetings.Not only that but they shall alsoparticipate in their countrypresentations in the Global Villageevent.The trainings shall be facilitatedby the one of the project’spartner [TAGDEP]. 2nd WEEKInterns will take a study tourto the Beautiful historicaltown of Bagamoyo[18th century].To get a knowledge on therich coastal history includingthe slave caravan and theyshall be able to visit differentfamous historical sites like thefamous Bagamoyo museumand the College of Arts [Chuocha sanaa] which is the majorarts college in Tanzania. 4th weekInterns will get to visit thesmall town of “Arusha”,through the famousNgorongoro crater and towhere the footprints of theoldest man reside! That isthe Oldvai Gorge.Here they will have a chanceto see the beauty of thelandscapes of Tanzania, theNational parks and learnabout the History of theOldvai Gorge.
5th weekDuring this week the internsshall get to take part in aprofessional entrepreneurshipevent that will take place inform of a forum and shallinclude some speeches andtrainings from different expertsand self-made businessmenspecifically in the fields of Musicand Arts.The theme of this event shall beaimed at promotion ofinnovation in the business worldthrough the Music and Artindustry.
6th weekInterns shall take part inan exciting Music and artevent whereby streetkids, orphans, from theages of 9 to 15 years oldwill attend and get toparticipate in somepainting, clay moldingand dancing competitionthat shall be coordinatedsome expert personnel inpainting and music.There will be awardsgiven to the winning kids,and some poetry andmusic performances fromsome local artists andpoets.
