  2. 2. What is Action Adventure? Action adventure is a film genre where one or more heroes is thrust into a series of challenges that require physical feats, extended fights and frenetic chases. They often use their action scenes preferably to display and explore exotic locations in an energetic way They usually show a resourceful character struggling against incredible odds such as, life-threatening situations, an evil villain, and/or being chased in several ways of transportation .

Air Hawks 1934 An early film features Ralph Bellamy as the owner of an airline company battling it out with another bigger and more lucrative outfit over an airmail contract with the government. Terence Stamp (in his film debut) is Billy Budd, an optimistic, young British sailor during a 1797 war between England and France who wins favour with all his crewmates, except for the sadistic master-at-arms, who accuses Budd of plotting a mutiny. The charge leads to a trial in which Budd fights for his life.
