INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENTS  Team of 24 exuberant students won 1st prize on 5th July 2012 at Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod 2012 at North Wales, England in which 5000 students from 50 countries participated. VICTORIOUS TEAM WITH MAYOR OF WREXHAM AND QUEEN’S REPRESENTATIVE VIVACIOUS STUDENTS PERFORMING PUNJBAI FOLK DANCE BHANGRA
  2. 2.  We are proud recipients of “Green School Award” in 2008 and 2009 at National level conducted by Center for Science and Environment, New Delhi for two successive years by surpassing 15000 schools nationwide.  We stood first in Punjab and fourth in India in green school programme conducted by the Centre for Science and environment, New Delhi in which 5,500 schools across the country participated. The winning team with Mr. Swaminathan , Agriculture scientist and Rajya Sabha member. The Coveted Certificate of honor presented to Woodlanders by renowned legendry actress Sharmila Tagore, Director General of the centre for science and environment and renowned environmentalist .
  3. 3.  In 2012, the school won the „International School Award‟ conducted by the British Council. British Council is an organization for creating International cultural and educational opportunities for students.
  4. 4.  Dr. Simerjeet Kaur, Principal has also been conferred as “The Best Educationist” for outstanding achievement in the field of education in August 2011 by International Institute of Education and Management, New Delhi. The award was presented to her by Ex. Chief Election Commissioner Mr. G.V.G. Krishanmurthy.  For unmatched services for the benefit of society and extending a helping hand for creating an aware society, the Managing Trustee of the school Mr. Mandeep Singh Gill was honored with State Level Award on Independence Day function by Cabinet Minister Mr. Nirmal Singh Khalon.   5. 5.  Dr. Simerjeet Kaur, Principal Woodland Overseas School was the sole representative from India at a conference held at Malaysia on “Modernizing the Current Education”. She was the only Indian to be honoured by British High Commission at Kaula Lumpur. The seminar was related to school management and leadership in children together with E- learning. Special meeting with honourable Mr. Peter Fassbender, Minister of Education during discussion on partnership of Woodland Overseas School with University of British Columbia. During Global achievement summit in Bangkok, Thailand Prime Minister Mr. Karn Dabarnassi honoured the Principal, Dr. Simerjeet Kaur with International status award for intellectual development. IGCSE organized annual conference in Singapore in which Principal ,Dr. Simerjeet Kaur Gill shared views on the impact of technology in studies in today‟s times .
  7. 7.  Dr. Simerjeet Kaur, Principal was honoured with State Level certificate of appreciation by Cabinet Minister Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa on 26th January 2007 on Republic Day Celebration for exemplary work in creating global awareness among the students.  The International win at Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod (5000 students from 50 countries participated) was alsoacclaimed with State Level award to the Principal Dr. Simerjeet Kaur on 15th August , 2012 at Independence Day function for highlighting the name of Punjab and India on International map. Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna, Rajya Sabha Member congratulated Bhangra Team of sixteen boys and 8 girls who grabbed Ist position in Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod on 5th July, 2012.
  8. 8.  For all round personality development of student, the school has been sanctioned troupe no. 89 by National Cadet Corps directorate which is a part of 12th Punjab Battalion. Presently, there are 25 cadets working under different modules.  The school Bhangra team out passed all the teams to grab the 1st position at the State Level Bhangra Competition. .

  10. 10.  The school was selected for the International Student programme accredited by the U S Deptt of State wherein specialized teachers from different fields of education along with children from USA, England, Germany were received under International Education Programme. Intensive teacher training sessions were held for one month many times in which the orientations for students was also held. .

  15. 15. Awareness Programme under NGO ‘Soch’ The school has collaborated with NGO „SOCH‟ to create awareness about the social issues. It has jelled with NGO „SOCH‟. „GO VOTE‟ campaign was held in the city along with nukkad play to aware the masses about significance of voting in a Democracy. ‘CAST VOTE’ campaign Dr. Simerjeet Kaur, Principal addressing the august gathering about importance of casting vote.
