Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems is a Mission Mode Project conceptualized and sponsored by the Ministry of Home Affairs towards enhancing outcomes in Crime Investigation and Criminals Tracking.
CCTNS aims at creating a comprehensive and integrated system for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of policing at all levels and especially at the Police Station level.

Implementation leadership and Operational independence at State-level.
Provide access to information for Investigation, Crime Prevention, Maintenance of Law & Order, Traffic Management etc.

50 District’s Head Quarters, 10 Police Training Institutes had been established.

All Police personnel of M.P. to be computer trained within two years.

NCRB will build database in alignment with UIDAI standards and thus the national residents database.

By incorporating iris in the AMBIS NCRB database will be inline with UIDAI database.
NCRB will have to build the database as it progresses but being multi modal the system will full functional even without iris today.
Iris scanner are also standard the UIDAI program has driven the market to make iris capture devices LOWER than finger print live scan devices.

Concentrating Solar Power (CSP): It uses lenses or mirrors and tracking systems to focus a large area of sunlight into a small beam. The concentrated heat is then used as a heat source for a conventional power plant.

Problem with conventional Power: Huge recurring cost is involved in running DG set to provide uninterrupted power supply to police offices.

Alternate Source: Solar UPS can be used to provide uninterrupted power supply to police offices.
Due to geographical limitations and limited availability of the electricity in Madhya Pradesh, it is recommended that solar UPS should be considered at rural police stations those are approximately 15% (186 PS) of total police stations, for meeting the power requirement under CCTNS project.
2 KVA solar UPS is capable of running 4 Desktop computers, 2 Printing Devices for 8 hours.
2 KVA solar UPS can run 1 Desktop computers and Printing Device for 24 hours.

MP Police has implemented an Automated Vehicle Tracking System for Bhopal and Indore City for providing an Integrated Disciplined system for Traffic Control and maintaining Law and Order in the district, where in 100 vehicles of the MP Police would be tracked and monitored each city.

SMS Provides SMS facility to police officers over their designated mobile phones out of information to be extracted from Vehicle database and DCRMS/AVLS and CIPA/CCTNS(in future). GIS For GIS a digital database comprising digital maps of Bhopal & Indore city supplemented with ground survey has been made.Apart from standard information layers available on survey of India and "Satellite"/Remote sensing images, many "points of interest" information has projected on the digital maps. A facility has provided by which police users can add "points of interest" on the digital maps as and when required.
