Integrated Diagnostic Telemedicine Devices with Video Conferencing Facilities duly validated by NRC.
  • 4. Project Highlights Govt. of Odisha's eHealth Initiative to meet the challenges of Healthcare delivery system for all round Health and Socio-economic development of the State. Installation of eHealth and Telemedicine Network Infrastructure upto panchayat level. SUPER SPECIALITY HOSPITALS Interconnected with the Govt. & Pvt. Medical Colleges, DHHs, SDHs, AHs, CHCs, PHCs, Sub-Centers. Well equipped diagnostic facilities and innovative, easy-to-use and highly reliable biomedical devices available are installed at each node. Computer System equipped with multimedia components to undertake audio-video consultations. Strengthening and augmenting existing public health system and Services.

Project Highlights Supports different centrally sponsored disease control programmes as part of NRHM and independent of NRHM ambit Improve the Health & IT infrastructure in the Public Health Systems Deployment of skilled manpower through employment creation to fulfill the Universal Health Coverage. Provides access of public to their own health information and medical records while preserving confidentiality of data. Deployment of trained manpower and management. Technology Platform : Basic Features Information Technology platform (Computer- desktop, laptop, tablet, Software – operating system, telemedicine application and electronic health information) Medical diagnostics integrated with IT System like Vital Sign Monitor, ECG, Spriometer, Oxymeter, Diabetic test Kit, Weighing machine, Semi-Auto Analyzer , etc.

Benefits Telemedicine platform has already been validated by Readly availability of medical data SGPGIMS, Lucknow, National for planning and (NRC) for Resource Centreimplantation of national programmes. Telemedicine and is in operation. Supervision and consultation for primary care in remote sites where a physician is not available. This saves Time & Money of all patients with more benefits for the poor villagers. Helps in initial evaluation of remote patients in case of emergency Telemedicine platform has Evidence – based Health by already been validated Care to effectively Lucknow, National SGPGIMS, treat primary health issues as well as chronic conditions Resource Centre (NRC) for Telemedicine and is in operation. Doctors and hospitals can access the health data of people at the time of tele-consultation for preliminary diagnosis, patient counseling and expert opinion. Where ever there is a single doctor, or at least Ayush doctor, a patient need not move to higher medical facility unless intervention is required.

Conclusion With the installation of eHealth and Telemedicine network up to the panchayat level for creation of Personal Health Record (PHR) and Teleconsultation, Tele-Pathology, Tele-Radiology, TeleOphthalmology & Tele-Diagnostics etc services which is a pre-requisite for providing Healthcare Services are possible.
