    • At just under six inches deep, the TDS3000C Series frees up bench space
    Optional battery pack provides 3 hours of operation away from an AC power source. Allows floating measurements up to 30V RMS . 5.9 inches(149 mm) deep!
  • 11. Taking Simple Measurements
    • Using Autoset:
      • Connect the channel 1 probe to the signal.
      • Push the Autoset button.
    • Selecting Automatic Measurements
      • Push the Meas button to see the Select Measurement menu.
      • Push the channel 1 button and then push the Select Measurement for Ch1 screen button.
      • Select the Frequency measurement.
      • Push the more screen button and select the Pk-Pk measurement.
      • Push the Menu Off button.
  • 12. Debug Digital Timing Problems
    • To use the pulse width trigger to capture a glitch:
    • In the Trigger section, press the Menu button.
    • In the bottom menu, press Type until Pulse is selected.
    • In the bottom menu, press Class to select Width.
    • Select, as desired, Source, Polarity, Trigger When, Level and Mode & Holdoff.
  • 13. Debug Rise Time and Fall Time Problems
    • To use the slew rate triggers:
    • In the Trigger section, press the Menu button.
    • In the bottom menu, press Type until Pulse is selected.
    • In the bottom menu, press Class to select Slew Rate.
    • Select, as desired, Source, Polarity, Trigger When, Thresholds, and Mode & Holdoff.
    • To run automatic measurements:
    • Press the front panel Measure button.
    • Press the Select Measurement bottom menu button.
    • Select the desired measurements from the side menu.
  • 14. Checking Signal Integrity
    • To make signal integrity measurements using cursors:
    • Press the Cursor button.
    • Press the Function menu button.
    • Press the H Bar Units (or V Bar Units) menu button to select H Bar (or V Bar) cursors.
    • Place one cursor, as desired, using the general-purpose knob.
    • Press the Select button.
    • Place the other cursor, as desired, using the general-purpose knob.
    • View the measurement (between cursors, or absolute) on the upper right corner of the display.
  • 15. Triggering on a Video Signal
    • To use the video trigger to quickly check for the presence of a video signal:
      • Connect the oscilloscope to the video signal using proper adapters and a 75 V terminator, if necessary.
      • Press the Acquire menu button.
      • Press the Autoset bottom button.
      • Press the Video Autoset* side button. If a broadcast standard video waveform is present, the oscilloscope will display a stable video waveform that is triggered on all lines.
      • Adjust vertical position and scale as desired.
      • If desired, reconnect the oscilloscope to other test points. You do not need to change any oscilloscope settings.
