How to resize a photograph in Microsoft Picture Manager

Why do I need to do this?
If you are adding a photograph to the web or to a PowerPoint, it needs to be the right file size.
Photos taken on digital cameras tend to be a large file size. You may find it is very slow to upload or e-mail your photos or PowerPoints because of this.
Resizing them will maintain the picture quality and dimensions, but will reduce the size of the file making it easier to upload and e-mail.

Right click over picture and select “Open With”>“Microsoft Picture Manager”

How to find Picture Manager programme

In Picture Manager

You will now have a photo that has a much smaller file size, and will upload in a few seconds. You can check the new file size by going back to your photo folder. You should notice that it is now much smaller than the others.

Finally, you can also crop, rotate and re-colour your photos in Picture Manager
