Evan’s POTW Solution!
Since both the path traced by her feet and by her head are circles, you can use the formula for the circumference of a circle: C=2πr
Now use the formula for circumference to make an equation.
(circumference of earth plus her height) - (circumference of the earth)
2π(r+5.5) - 2πr
Factor out a GCF: 2π
2π(r+5.5) - 2πr
2π(r+5.5-r)
*The r’s cancel each other out*
(2π)(5.5) ≈ 34.56 feet
