  • 1. E-learning: a model of the popular practical learning<br />
    • Introduction
    At the time of the current era of globalization, with the free market and rapid technological development which makes the competition even more stringent. Thus, the human resources in all sectors should be able to follow this growing age, within the meaning of human resources should be able to master technology intensive. When we talk about technological developments, it is closely related to education, whether it is an institution based on the basic or higher education, or teachers and students who become subjects in education. When teachers and students implement an integrated education in the conventional classroom teacher is expected to provide input is good enough, interesting and also efficient in order to achieve the vision of studying a science itself. Science without technology as just ships without navigation, we have to guess in which direction to go, contritely if we already use the technology it is not possible we can go somewhere with proper navigation, accurate and fast. It shown the apparent the differences between sciences without technology with science inside based applying technology in the above education practitioners or institutions with a sensible its implementing learning technologies at every level of education. With a vision to optimize the potential that exists in every learner then present a model of learning is not only a conventional model with face to face (direct teaching), students were introduced to one model of learning called as E-Learning, with the expectation when students use this learning model, students and teachers can implement the teaching-learning process accurately, quickly and efficiently without having to waste time.<br />
    • The Concept of E-learning

    • Definition of E-Learning
    E-learning stands for Electronic Learning, a new way in teaching and learning that use electronic media in particular the Internet as a learning system. E-learning is a basic and logical consequence of the development of information and communication technology. <br />E-learning can also be done informally with a simpler interaction, for example by means of mailing lists, e-newsletter or personal websites, organizations and companies that want to socialize the services, programs, knowledge or skills in the wider community (usually without charge) .Functions E-Learning can be as complementary or supplementary, and in certain conditions can even become an alternative to conventional learning. Learners who follow learning activities through e-Learning courses have the same recognition to learners who followed a conventional.<br />In other words, E-Learning is learning carried out or supported using the means or digital learning materials. In practice, there are on-line interaction between students and their teachers and with their own friends. E-Learning in general carried out through the Internet, although some are using other technologies such as CD-ROM. (Hartoyo, 2010:126)<br />

    The purpose of e-learning as a medium of technology applications in education. Meanwhile, other goals of e-learning include:1. To increase of access to learning opportunity and flexibility2. To Enhance the general quality3. to develop skills and competencies4. To meet the learning styles / needs5. Cost effectiveness. (Hartoyo, 2010: 130)<br />E-Learning aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning on the learner by utilizing information technology and communications and other communication media. In the other hand, the model of E-Learning also to facilitate the students to access distance education from the teacher that has problems due to separation of students and teachers by great distances. <br />
    • The application of E-Learning
    As has been describe by the author above, that E-Learning can be used sbagai facilities, media <br />or technology that can facilitate the users in the study of a science.<br />Hartoyo in his book on "Technology and Information and communication", explained that the E-Learning is a system of Learning Management Systems or also known as Virtual Learning Environment, which must be equipped as follows: n1. In e-Learning must have web pages (webpages) that is useful to display the course content should be no notification sera need to know.2. The website should have links to other websites related to the learning process.3. It needs a chat client that can communicate in real.4. In each of the learning material should be no question that typically in the form of multiple choice evaluation materials.5. The good processes and storage mechanisms should be good6. Ther must be the existence of a record system as a documentation file in the data base. (Hartoyo, 2010: 131-132)<br />

    • 3. There are some benefits that teachers or students feel when using the E-Learning. As mentioned below:
    • 4. 1.Cost effective; eLearning is more cost effective than traditional learning because less time and money is spent traveling. Since E-Learning can be done in any geographic location and there are no travel expenses, this type of learning is much less costly than doing learning at a traditional institute. 
    • 5. III. Conclusion
    When faced with age into the technological developments that are very large, then it is proper to follow the development of human beings by studying the technology as early as possible. That is what the author wants to convey that the E-Learning program is unbelievably useful for educators are also learners. The author also suggested that the pepenyelenggara education curricula include E-Learning as one of the material being taught in schools as where it should. E-Learning is not just a form on-line only, but can also form a CD-ROM making it easy for each school to access more intensive.<br />2. Flexibility; Flexibility is a major benefit of E-Learning. E-Learning has the advantage of taking class anytime anywhere. Education is available when and where it is needed. E-Learning can be done at the office, at home, on the road, 24 hours a day, and seven days a week. 3. Personalized Learning; Learners like e-learning because it accommodates different types of learning styles. They have the advantage of learning at their own pace. Students can also learn through a variety of activities that apply to many different learning styles. Learners can fit e-learning into their busy schedule. If they hold a job, they can participate in eLearning right at their desk. If the learner needs to do the learning at night, then this option is available while in their pajamas and do the learning if they desire. 4. Develop knowledge; eLearning helps develop knowledge of the Internet. This knowledge will help learners throughout their careers. E-Learning encourages students to take personal responsibility for their own learning. When learners succeed, it builds self-knowledge and self-confidence.       <br />
