• 3 teenage blokes decide to make some short
films, initially just for fun. As the story goes
on, the films start to get more and more
popular and they start to get more
recognition, they begin to fall out over how to
deal with the fame and it leads to disastrous
consequences for their careers and their
relationships.

• It’s a film about people making films. So
there’s a degree of verisimilitude and realism.
(A sort of documentary, although it’s
fictionalised)

Editor's Notes
The gender split between these types of films is pretty even. Social network and Fifth Estate are about deteriorating relationships whereas the producers and Churchill; the Hollywood years are comedies about hap-dash filmmaking. These films tend to draw in an older audience
