  • 1. Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction.
  • 2. What this world needs is a new kind of army - the army of the kind.
  • 3. If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.   If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
  • 4. I always prefer to believe the best of everybody, it saves so much trouble.
  • 5. The miracle is not to fly in the air, or to walk on the water, but to walk on the earth
  • 6. Never miss an opportunity to make others happy, even if you have to leave them alone in order to do it.
  • 7. Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly, but flooding the river.
  • 8. Hate leaves ugly scars, love leaves beautiful ones.
  • 9. There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again.
  • 10. Just living is not enough.  One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.
  • 11. A fellow who does things that count, doesn't usually stop to count them.
  • 12. Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
  • 13. Be nice to people on your way up because you'll need them on your way down.
  • 14. It isn't what you know that counts, it's what you think of in time.
  • 15.
  • 16. Sometimes the best way to hold onto something is to let it go.
  • 17. The future lies before you, like paths of pure white snow.  Be careful how you tread it, for every step will show.
  • 18. To know the road ahead, ask those coming back.
  • 19. A bell is no bell 'til you ring it, A song is no song 'til you sing it, And love in your heart Wasn’t put there to stay - Love isn’t love 'Til you give it away.
  • 20.
  • 21. You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.
  • 22. To find someone who will love you for no reason, and to shower that person with reasons, that is the ultimate happiness.
  • 23. Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight.  Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward.  Your life will never be the same again.
  • 24. Getting money is not all a man's business:  to cultivate kindness is a valuable part of the business of life.
  • 25.
  • 26. How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong.  Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.
  • 27.
  • 28. I expect to pass through life but once.  If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.
  • 29. Be not angry that you cannot make others as you wish them to be, since you cannot make yourself as you wish to be.
  • 30. Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones; and when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace
  • 31. Good for the body is the work of the body, and good for the soul is the work of the soul, and good for either is the work of the other.
  • 32. Give thanks for what you are now, and keep fighting for what you want to be tomorrow.
  • 33. Practical life teaches us that people may differ and that both may be wrong: it also teaches us that people may differ and both be right.  Anchor yourself fast in the latter faith, or the former will sweep your heart away.  http://www.slideshare.net/effat57
