  • 1. The United Kingdom Want to go to the UK? Well, look over this collage and you will see the wonders of the United Kingdom.
  • 2. Big Ben
    • Big Ben is a bell tower on the north side on the Westminster palace in London.
    • Odd Facts
    • The bell inside the tower was the original Big Ben, but the whole tower eventually adopted the name.
  • 3. Phoenix Park Phoenix Park is a large park close to the Dublin city centre. Odd Facts There have been many auto races at the park since 1903.
  • 4. The House of Parliament The House of Parliament is also known as the Westminster Palace, and is in the town of Westminster on the River Thames. Odd Facts There is no eating, drinking, or smoking allowed.
  • 5. Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge connects Northern Ireland and Carrick Island. Odd Facts The bridge is taken down for the winter every year to preserve it.
  • 6. Stonehenge Stonehenge is a stone structure that was built for unknown causes in ancient times. It is located near Wiltshire. Odd Facts People believe that it was brought here by aliens.
  • 7. Buckingham Palace The Buckingham Palace is in Westminster and it houses the British Monarch. Odd Facts The Buckingham Palace was part destroyed during World War II when 7 bombs fell on it.
  • 8. Threave Castle Threave Castle is in Dumfries, Scotland on the island of Dees. Odd Facts One of the leaders of the castle married his cousin.
  • 9. Sweetheart Abbey Sweetheart Abbey is west of Dumfries, Scotland and is a home Cistercian monastery. Odd Facts The founder of the Abbey had her husband’s heart embalmed and buried with her.
  • 10. Trinity College Trinity College is near Dublin .It is the only branch college of the University of Dublin. Odd Facts Women were not admitted until 1904.
  • 11. Dublin Zoo Dublin Zoo is the only Zoo in Dublin and is in Phoenix Park. Odd Facts The zoo houses about 56 species of animals.
  • 12. Belfast Castle Belfast Castle is a large castle in Belfast, Northern Ireland and provides great views of the city. Odd Facts The castle provides guests with a restaurant, gift shop, and is out for rent for wedding parties
  • 13. Olympia Theatre The Olympia Theatre is a theater in Dublin, Ireland. Odd Facts During its history, the theater has been damaged 4 times and has had 5 different names.
  • 14. London Eye The London Eye is located in Westminster near Big Ben. Odd Facts Amazing Race has had a detour here.
  • 15. Oxford University Oxford University is in Oxford, England. Odd Facts The date it was founded is not known and there is an Oxford Labour Club .
