    Salesday Project Salesday Project Presentation Transcript

    • Presented by: Mr. Zayas and Mr. Toda
    • Objective To compete with other teams in the sale of 2 products on a predetermined “Sales Day”. Students from other classes will be given fake money to purchase. The team with the most money at the end of the day will receive extra credit.
    • Grading - Grading will be broken up in several sections and the total will make up the final grade for the entire group. - A total of 300 points will make up the majority of your Term 3 grade.
    • Part 1 Due 6 January 2010 – total of 10 points - Students broken up into separate groups.
      • Part 2
      • Due 8 January 2010 – total of 20 points
      • Students will make choice of 2 products they will be working on.
      • Once groups decide they can not change.
      • Products can be selected by only one group on a first come first served basis.
      • NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED
    • Part 3 Due 14 January 2010 – total of 50 points - Groups present their work in front of class and turn in a paper for each product (total of 2). - Papers (25 pts.) graded on: . History (origin, creator, ethnic background, etc) . How made (ingredients, recipe/instructions) . Pricing breakdown (cost estimate per item) - Collection of money for the group is due on this day.
      • Part 4
      • Due 22 January 2010 – total of 20 points
      • Group surveys completed and ready for copying and distribution for students in other classes.
      • Students completing surveys will be actual students on Sales Day.
      • Survey questions will be guiding enough to create graphs/charts/explanations to provide final product choice.
      • At least 4 questions for each product and at least 9 questions.
      • Part 5
      • Due 28 January 2010 – total of 10 points
      • Groups distribute surveys to 2 separate classes during period 4 and collect the results.
      • Part 6
      • Due 4 February 2010 – total of 20 points
      • Survey data is calculated and a presentation on results is complete that includes charts/graphs/explanations for each question.
      • Final result and price is decided. After this date the price cannot be changed, ensuring everyone knows what their competition is offering.
      • Part 7
      • Due 11 February 2010 – total of 20 points
      • Groups have created advertisement for their products
      • Presentations will be shown to other classes.
      • Ideas are endless whether it is acting out a commercial, passing out flyers, coupons or making poster boards and presenting them.
      • Each group will be given 4 minutes to present in class this day.
      • Part 8
      • Due 19 February 2010 – total of 20 points
      • Groups present improved and corrected advertisement in front of class for a final advertisement grade.
      • If the presentation has not changed, the team will not receive their points.
      • On this date groups begin to create their “store section” and what they will have on that day, and where in the classroom they will have their store.
      • Part 9
      • Due 26 February 2010 – total of 40 points
      • Groups show receipts, donation letters, equipment plans and items used on “Sales Day”, inventories and counts of what will be needed.
      • This should be presented in report form, in the order of your choice but in an organized manner.
      • An item that is not included in these records will count against your points.
      • i.e. list of inventory for the day, list of ingredients/supplies.
      • Part 10
      • Due 4 March 2010 – total of 30 points
      • Groups present their advertisements in front of 2 classes chosen during 4 th period.
      • They present to one class, then another.
      • Groups have the same amount of time for their presentations (4 minutes.)
      • Make sure to leave a great impression so that they will remember your product.
      • Part 11
      • Due 9 March 2010 – total of 60 points
      • SALES DAY! Groups setup their stores, market and sell their products and help the group operate appropriately and effectively.
      • Students will also have money to shop for themselves after the classes come through.
      • At the halfway point students can change their prices to make their sales more effective.
      • Groups will also be graded based on clean-up of their stores.

      • First group to sell out 50 pts
      • Best advertising 50 pts
      • First place most votes 50 pts
      • Second place most votes 35 pts
