About Northumbria<br />Northumbria University is located within Newcastle upon Tyne in the north-east of England. <br />Newcastle is a regional capital and is less than 3 hours away from London by the fastest rail service, whilst Edinburgh (Scotland's capital) is only an hour away. <br />Newcastle is, indisputably, a great place to live and to be a student!<br />More than 40,000 students already live here (that's about one in seven of the population), which makes students pretty important in the scheme of things here. <br />
