Northumbria - Education UK 2010 Presentation Transcript

  • 1. About Northumbria
Northumbria University is located within Newcastle upon Tyne in the north-east of England.
Newcastle is a regional capital and is less than 3 hours away from London by the fastest rail service, whilst Edinburgh (Scotland's capital) is only an hour away.
Newcastle is, indisputably, a great place to live and to be a student!
More than 40,000 students already live here (that's about one in seven of the population), which makes students pretty important in the scheme of things here.
  • 2. What’s so good about Northumbria?

Northumbria’s consistently excellent performance in UK quality audits places it at the very top among modern universities.
The university has been awarded five National Teaching Fellowships in recognition of excellent teaching.
