• Teach student webpage navigation
skills
– Student are motivated to see pictures
of their projects and of themselves.
– Using that motivation, you can teach
navigation skills and other skills such as
posting comments.
– Posting comments also reinforces
student’s reading and writing skills.

• Use slideshows as great writing prompts.
– student personal narrative (oral or written)
– prompt for writing across the curriculum.

– Students may write about the
experience as a personal narrative.
– Students may write about the
experiment.
• Use it as an organizational tool.
• Use it as a graphic organizer.
How to get started
• Contact your education technology
coordinator to:
– Setup Picassa
– Setup a warriorlife account.
How to get started: 3 steps
Step 1: Upload pictures to your album
• Go to Picasa Web Albums (click link below)
– Enter your Username
– Enter your Password
• Click the upload button
• Select your album
• Click the Select Album button
• Click the Browse button
• Locate a picture, one at a time
– You may want to edit/optimize your images in Photoshop first
– You can upload 5 pictures in a single upload
• Click the Start Upload button
– Repeat until all pictures are uploaded

Step 2: View your pictures on your site
• Log in to your warriorlife class site (see below)
• Select your site
• Type your username
• Type your password

• Create a link on your Grovesite to
your picture site from warriorlife
• Instruct students and parents to
click this link
