    16. So what does all of this mean for us as educators? How do we create meaningful and authentic learning opportunities for our students with ICT? How is our teaching informing and shaping our students’ digital landscape? Thursday, 22 October 2009
    17. * ICT integration is a mandatory part of the NSW Board of Studies (AU) curriculum - accept it * ICT literacy for teachers is a standard in criteria for recruitment - it is no longer acceptable for teachers to be content with their own semi-computer literacy and/or be unwilling to up-skill * But the curriculum is CROWDED - time management is vital * ICT must be connected to specific learning goals and outcomes * ICT must be engaging (for both teacher and student) * ICT must be pedagogically meaningful Thursday, 22 October 2009
    18. Teachers should join the learning environment WITH their students and step down from ‘centre-stage’ teaching Place technology into the hands of students In authentic learning, carefully and thoughtfully constructed, the technology will become INVISIBLE in the learning process Thursday, 22 October 2009
