  • 4. Collaborative Challenge 1 15% of your ED-D101 Grade You will be assigned to a group of four. Your group is tasked with working together online to: 1. Systematically analyze a problem case scenario by identifying and describing all strengths and weaknesses demonstrated by the student across each phase of SRL. The case scenario comes from real examples gathered from undergraduate students in ED-D101 over several years (approximately 30 marks). 2. Identify the main or most significant SRL problem and back up that decision with specific evidence from the scenario (approximately 10 marks).

Collaborative Challenge 1 • Oct 21 during lecture timeslot • You will be assigned to a computer lab on campus for this activity  Covers Content from Week 1–5 – – – – Self-Regulated Learning Task Understanding Goal Setting, Monitoring Memory & Learning Processes & Strategies • You will be required to do some prep work: – To coordinate with your team to create a summary sheet (Due Oct 18) – Complete a SOLO Planner for the collab activity (Due Oct 18) 5

  • 7. Mandatory Preparation Activities  During Lab 6  1-Page Summary sheet (Due Oct 18)  SOLO Planner (Due Oct 18)  IF these are not complete you will not be admitted into the collaborative challenge. You will lose 15 marks
  • 8. Collaborative Challenge (40 marks = 10%)  During Lecture Timeslot Oct 21  Must attend to do the collaborative challenge  You will be assigned a specific computer lab in advance  Bring your printed SUMMARY sheet
  • 9. AFTER: Collaborative Reflection (5 marks = 5%)  During Lab 7 (Week of Oct 21)  Learn from the experience  How can you improve, what can you do better?
  • 10. Prepare for Collaborative Challenge 1 Mandatory preparation activities: 1. READ the instructions 2. Solo Planning tool 3. Summary Sheet DUE OCTOBER 18 IF these are not complete you will not be admitted into the collaborative challenge. You will lose 15 marks
  • 11. RLQ (Time 2) Regulation of Learning Questionnaire • How well do you self-regulate your learning? – What are your strengths & weaknesses ? • Use the RLQ Questionnaire to find out! Complete the RLQ 11

RLQ Reflection (Time 2) • You Are Given 2 kinds of scores – Intent score (how much you intended to engage each process) – Engagement score (how much you ACTUALLY engaged each process) • Report your scores & interpret what they mean Compare your RLQ (Time 1) & RLQ (Time 2) scores Complete the RLQ Reflection 12
  • 13. Quiz 3 • Quiz 3 in lab – Any attempts to complete the quiz outside of lab results in automatic failure – All attempts are time stamped and logged • Your instructor will provide you with instructions about how to access the quiz in lab 13
