  • 2. Q1) what is your age? The data I can gather from this is that most people who took my survey were between 12 and 18, but a minority were 18-24 and one person was over 75. This shows me that the majority of people intrested in doing a survey about music magazines were between 12 and 24 , with the average age being about 17. I have used this data to decide that my target audience will be between 14 and 20 as I believe they buy a good amount of music magazines and I can relate to this age range as I am in it.
  • 3. Q2) what is your gender? I know from this that the majority of people who are interested in doing a survey about music magazines are male , and I will target my magazine at males but make sure it is also accessible for females so I will include content for both and gender neutral colours.
  • 4. Q3)what is your ethnicity? I found from this that the majority of people who did my survey were white british , but there were other people as well , so I will not make my magazine to be inaccessible to any one type of people.
  • 5. Q4) what is your favourite type of music? I can see from this that all people in this age group don’t like one type of music a lot more than others , I considered this when choosing the genre of my magazine and it has helped me to decide that I will not focus completely on one type of music, it will have some content for most genres.
  • 6. Q5) how often do you buy music magazines? This data shows me that the most common purchase of music magazines in once a week, but then everyone else buys them less than this , so I decided to take an average for my frequency of publication and have my magazine every 2 weeks
  • 7. Q6) how much are you willing to pay for a music magazine? This has shown me that the most common price is between 2 and 3 pounds and then some people are willing to pay more and some aren’t willing to pay as much, so I will charge 2.35 for my magazine as it is appropriate for my frequency of publication and it is in the price range
  • 8. This has told me that most people in this age range get their music magazines from a newsagents or by delivery , so I will focus mainly on paper copies of my magazine as they are most popular
  • 9. Q8) what do you do you for a living? From this question I found out that most people in this age range are students, so I have made sure my price is appropriate for people in this age range as they wont have a lot of disposable income.
