In that case, you should defer to video principles, rather than PPT principles. Videos are different creatures because you control the timing, rather than the viewer. That gives you both more and less flexibility.

Good design will also carry from one medium to another, but the rhythm, content, and tone all shift when you cross mediums into video. My advice would be to find some videos you like and make something similar. You usually find your voice in that process. 1 month ago

You mentioned 'Entertainment presentations'

I’ve found almost all “entertainment presentations” to be a complete waste of my time and a misuse of technology.

Also “entertainment presentations” without technical or persuasive content are the biggest indication that the presenter is a weak novice.

Unfortunately “Slideshare All-Stars” are notorious for these types of presentations which incorrectly gives the impression to beginners that this is how presentations should be structured. 2 months ago

On slide #6 you indicated two main categories of presentations are technical and persuasive. Entertainment presentation doesn't fall into these two categories and is an animal of a different color. Here are links to what I think are the better entertainment presentations on SlideShare:
