  • Who was Aryabhatta?Aryabhatta was a mathematician andastronomer from India.He was born in India, in Patna, Bihar.His first name is actually Arya and his lastname Bhatt.He was born in the late 400’s and died in theearly 500’s.He was the first in the line of the greatMathematician-Astronomers from India.
  • What are some of hisfamous mathematical contributions?The book Āryabhaṭīya.He created the approximation of pi.One of his most important contributions wasthe number zero
  • Other’sHis other works include algebra, arithmetic,trigonometry, quadratic equations and thesine table.
