  9. 9. Gymkhana in Sitges The cultural gymkhana is a different way of getting to know the town of Sitges, its culture and its traditions, as well as new way of making contact with its residents. The 10 Dragons enigma: This is a walking gymkhana that challenges our participants’ curiosity! They will need to crack our enigmas to successfully find and get to the places where the 10 emplematic dragons in the city are.

  14. 14. We will walk the narrow medieval streets of the Gothic quarter, discovering how our ancestors lived and what their relation was to this part of the city. BOTH tours can include a perfomance in a medieval Tavern! Tavern is the history of a strange romance between a medieval gentleman and the tavern maid in the XVIIth century. The brief performance offers us moments of emotion and humour that framed in a tour replete with medieval legends and that turns out to be unforgettable.   17. 17. ICONO serveis culturals Workshop for Company groups   Plastic interventions to promote artistic knowledge and improve communication among employees on special occasions such as conventions, congresses or executive meetings. ICONO, Serveis Culturals, Incentive Activities for companies 2009
  18. 18. The program includes a brief introduction to the possibilities of collage in portrait and self-portraits and a slide projection to understand the different contemporary art techniques. Participants will make their own collages under the supervision of an experienced trainer. They will work on their own self-portraits their fellow participants’ portraits. A wide range of material will be used, including participants’ ID photos, magazines, newspapers, recycled cloth and industrial elements. Participants will be allowed to develop their creativity. Participants are free to add material of their own: tickets, notes, stamps, typographies, journals, book illustrations, comics, posters, advertisements, etc.   At the end of the workshop the works of each participant will be exhibited and commented on.   19. 19. The 3 hour theatre workshop will consist basically of performance games, drama training and improvisation activities. The aim is to allow the group to let their inhibitions go, interact with their colleagues in a different way, help them to adapt their behaviour to new, unforeseen situations, generate feelings and control emotions and different states of mind.   Participants will have to be led blindfolded by a colleague, or put their trust in their colleague to catch them when they fall. In one of the most emblematic spaces in the city The hall of mirrors in the “Gran Teatre del Liceu”. ICONO, Serveis Culturals, Incentive Activities for companies 2009
  21. 21. The activity consists of 3 diferent stages 3. The Concert : the groups will interpret both canons and will be then evaluated by our Opera teacher.   . 2. Cleaning and warming-up voices: Key division: baritones, tenors, sopranos, etc. 1st Canon: especially easy lyrics and rhythms to learn. 2nd canon: this one will challenge the participants . 1 . Musical quiz: the groups will be asked a few general questions about Opera and Music history. Which opera does this fragment belong to? Which character is singing? This is a competition. Only the best group will qualify!   This is an original exercise that lets the group enjoy immediately the fruits of their labour. It sounds great, indeed better than we could ever imagine!   22. 22. ICONO serveis culturals Gastronomic Gymkhana This game is designed to challenge the participants’ culinary skills. Each member will be asked to perform different tests to develop their sense of taste and smell and their abilities to cook all in a light-hearted way.   ICONO, Serveis Culturals, Incentive Activities for companies 2009
  23. 23. The gymkhana will take place in two different places : -The Boqueria market -Terraced restaurant of the Museum of the History of Catalunya. At the meeting point, participants will be divided into groups . Each group will receive a name related to a gastronomic term and will be given instructions, game rules and a content of the tests.   24. 24. <ul><li>First Part: </li></ul><ul><li>  The groups will be given two tests. They will perform them synchronically around the marketplace. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>• Series of tests and questions to be resolved. Such as: filling-in a typical Catalan culinary recipe with the necessary ingredients; writing-down the longest list of different fruits. These simple games will improve thei knowledge of the market and its history. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>• Workshop and competition of “Tapas” and “montaditos” at the Boqueria kitchens. An unforgettable learning experience. Participants are expected to guess the components seen in some “tapas” images and make them on their own. Each group is led by a guide/ profesional monitor: Reservation of Kitchen halls Material for montaditos workshop & wine tasting Support material:aprons, badges. Cocktail per person Optional: a present for the winning team Second part: At the Museum of the History of Catalunya The terrace of the History museum will provide the setting for wine tasting . Each group will be asked to taste three different wines blindfolded. Not only must the kind of wine must be idenitified, but they also need to describe it using the appropriate adjectives!   27. 27. At the start of the activity, participants will be given a map of the city, with the location of the several challenges that they will find. Photographs: Each team will be given some photographs. These are photographs of well known monuments, places, etc. , but taken from an unusual point of view. Participants will have to identify what appears in the photograph, and locate it. The questions: Participants, visiting several points of the city, will have to discover the answers of the questions put to them by the organization, for example: how many windows are on the façade of the Pedrera. This activity will last for about 2 hours (at least). The 10 objects: Find 10 objects and give them to the monitors at the end of the activity. None of the objects can be bought. Some examples of the objects: an oak tree leaf, a non-European coin, an old newspaper or magazine, a feather, a sea shell, some sea water, a clothespin, a hard-boiled egg, an animal and something typical from Barcelona. All these things must be found following the itinerary of the other tests and quizzes. This budget includes: The idea, design and production of the event. > The assembly and disassembly of the entire event. > All the necessary materials for the activity: maps, pictures, pens and notebooks etc. Polaroids optional. > Transportation of necessary materials for the activity. > A professional director of events. > All necessary people for coordination and logistic.

  30. 30. &quot; A little bit of History”; “Let’s discover the museums”; “Earth at a glance”; “Sitges, tourist destination”; “Let’s go shopping” and “Let’s discover the people of the town”. &quot; The group will be divided into different teams, each one of them with its respective “survival sack” in which they will find all the necessary materials to take part in the game. The game starts: the route in the centre of the town, its old quarter and the more emblematic museums and buildings Each pack of tests includes a subject on the history and the culture of the town so that the visitor discovers them in an amusing and pleasant way: A prize-giving will come at the end of all the activities.   32. 32. They will think about questions like: Have you ever wondered why Barcelona is a city full of dragons, which is their true story? Do they have any hidden intention? Is Barcelona in danger? Will Saint George’s legend happen again? Participants will have to solve all these enigmas.   33. 33. Dragons can be found around the whole city, we’ve pointed out 10 of them that the group should find. They will have to find the way to get to each one on their own without spending too much time.   There will be one guide at each place to help them find the next one. Guides will take into account timings of each team. How long will it take you to find them? All participants will be given a map of the city, a bottle of water, a rucksack. Each team will have 10 tube/bus tickets for their transfers and a leaflet with all the dragons they should find.   43. 43. All groups are accompanied by a multilingual monitor-guide and a mechanic monitor. Options for Group Tours:   Transport : Our warehouse is located in the centre of the old town, in the Born area. Tours can start from our premises in C/ Esparteria or if required there is the option to start or finish tours from a different location (Hotel, Conference Room, Office, Restaurant...). In such cases the bicycles are transported by lorry or van to the requested location. We organise gymkhanas, tours based on particular themes or itineraries which can include visits to museums and monuments. We can supply helmets: in Barcelona it is optional, not obligatory.
