…find course reserves?

Course Reserves
are required readings or supplemental materials for courses.
can be books, articles, maps, DVDs or other audio-visual materials.
have shorter loan periods to allow more students to access them.

Two Types of Course Reserves
Reserves at the Circulation Desk:
Most can be borrowed for 3-hours, some for 48 hours
3-hour loans must stay in the Library
Available at the Circulation Desk
Short Loans:
2-day loan
Kept on the regular shelves

To find a course reserve, go to www.eclibrary.caand click on Catalogue

Click on Reserves

Enter your instructor’s name,course number, or course namein the Browse by box andclick on the appropriate button below.

In this example, we are searching by Course Number
Enter the information…
…then click on this button

Next, click on your course...

Then click on the name ofyour instructor

Find the title you wish to borrow and click on Details to see if it is available for checkout.

This is a course reserve heldat the Circulation Desk.
Write down the call number and take it to the Circulation Desk so the staff can retrieve the item for you.

Course reserves with “PC” call numbers are “professor’s copies” and are also held at the Circulation Desk.

If the course reserve you want is a Short loan item…
write down the call number
go to the regular Library shelves to find the item
take it to the Circulation Desk to sign it out.

Please ensure that you return
course reserves on time.
Course reserves cannot be renewed.

Overdue Fines for Course Reserves
Reserves at the Circulation Desk (3-hour loan): $1.00/hour
Reserves at the Circulation Desk (48-hour loan): $2.00/day
Short loan items: $2.00/day
