Design Fundamentals: Unit 1 – Rhythmic Patterns, Repetition, and Unity<br />Lesson: Name Design<br />Essential Question: How do Artists convey personal meaning through 2D design?<br />AOI: Health & social Education<br />Project Objectives: Use rhythmic pattern, repetition and unity to create a 6”x6” Photogram design based on your initials.<br />Mini-Labs:<br />What is Design? 5 visual examples<br />Zentangle Patterns : Create 12 unique Zentangle Patterns<br />Zentangle Initials: Create 10 Thumbnails of possible Zentangle Initial Compositions<br />Begin by placing a dot in each corner<br />Connect the dots to form a border<br />Draw your initials (minimum of 2)<br />Fill each space with a unique Zentangle pattern from your Pattern mini-lab. (including border). Expose with light. Process.<br />Repeat Step a.<br />Place a dry Negative Photogram face down on top of Photo paper. Expose with light.
