3. State of art of Mediterranean Southern ports
 A low development of integrated logistics services: the
offer of logistics services is low developed limiting the
developed,
competitiveness and disadvantaging North-African
Countries despite other emerging Countries.
 Primacy of artisanal on wheels transport: it is one of the
main causes of quality problems related to the logistics
sector, reducing the efficiency of the system.
 Necessity of reinforcement of logistics sector: it may
increase a positive impact on the costs and on the level
of the services, supporting the collaboration of the key
actors.

4. Main Objective
• To contribute to the integration of Southern and European
Countries in the Logistics sector, in order to develop an
integrated transport system in the Mediterranean Basin. The

Logistics sector is considered as one of the fundamental pillars for
the future of the Euro-Mediterranean trade.
Main stakeholders and beneficiaries
• SMEs and other organizations operating in the field of logistics –
transportation into ports areas (Cagliari, It; Barcelona, Es; Tunis-
Rades, Tn; Tangier, Ma; Port Said, Eg).
Main expected results
• Enhance their competences and technological and management
skills.
• Enlarge their market capacity at Euro-Mediterranean level,
promoting clusters development.
• Development of the network of operators and CCIs/BSOs.

 ACTION PLAN FOR CLUSTERING IN MED PORT
LOGISTICS Define an Action Plan for the development of
clusters of SMEs operating in port logistics in the port areas of
Tunis‐Rades,
Tunis Rades Tn; Tangier Ma; Port Said Eg
Tangier, Said, Eg.
 SHORT TERM MISSIONS Missions of Med Partners to EU
Countries (Cagliari and Barcelona) to share how European
ports logistics services are managed in these port areas.
 BtoB MEETING: Small BtoB Meetings in Cagliari (IT) in order
to develop synergies and promote partnerships between

6. Operations
 TRAINING COURSE “INNOVATION AND
CLUSTERING OF PORT LOGISTICS SERVICES IN
THE MEDITERRANEAN BASIN” Training for trainers will
be implemented with the aim of enforce the capacity
