About EBS Nagpur Ekta Bahu-uddeshiya Sanstha is established on 6 August 2010 by students of rural part of Nagpur, with the aim of rural development through the youth development i.e. skill building among rural youth. Now we are working with following mission Employment to Rural Youth New Technology for Farmers Environment friendly Life Style To fulfill our mission, we regularly organize events for rural youth & farmers; we are establishing libraries in rural areas to connect youth & farmers with the changing world. Our future plans are to be in the fields of research and publications. Our projects include EBS Library Network, library on wheels, Little Star Club, Khoj Yatra, Database of Rural Youth, Gramvikas Kendra, Gramvikas Bhavan Tishthi. Our organization is mainly run by and on the strength of youth. We are organizing Career Guidance Camp, Yuva Chetana Shivir where renowned personalities will guide students. We are planning towards innovative concept of making database of educated and eligible rural youth with their educational qualification for employers. This is only possible through support at all levels from society. Ekta Bahu-uddeshiya Sanstha is registered with The Societies Registration Act 1860, to Charity Commissioner Nagpur. The Government registration number of our organization is Maha/204/11(Nag).

  • 4. About Project Agricultural extension is a general term meaning the application of scientific research and new knowledge to agricultural practices through farmer education. The field of extension now encompasses a wider range of communication and learning activities organized for rural people by professionals from different disciplines, including agriculture, agricultural marketing, health, and business studies. The central task of extension is to help rural families help themselves by applying science, whether physical or social, to the daily routines of farming, homemaking, and family and community living. This project EBS Library Network is a little effort toward make rural and farmers more knowledgeable and developed. EBS Library network is part of extension education for farmers.

Concept of EBS Library Network EBS Library network is a free service which will assists farmers through educational procedures, in improving farming methods and techniques, increasing production efficiency and income, bettering their levels of living and lifting social and educational standards. The concept of EBS library network is to develop network of small libraries for rural youth and farmers. The library will be consisting of literature for farmers & rural youth. The literature for youth includes a books & magazines of competitive exams. The literature for farmers includes a books & magazines on Latest farm technologies, crop care methods & sustainable agriculture. We will keep starting & operating cost of these libraries low, so we can develop a network of libraries.
  • 6. Action We will start these libraries in Kalmeshwar, Saoner & Katol talukas of Nagpur district then this network of libraries will be extended in other talukas of Nagpur district as per availability of resources. The regular workshops & seminars will be organized in these libraries for farmers & rural youth. These activities will provide assistance to farmers to help them identify and analyse their production problems and become aware of the opportunities for improvement. The library on wheels will be extension activity for EBS library network. You can contribute for starting of library by various ways, plz. See “Get Involved” section.   • 7. Impact We hope EBS library network will start a knowledge revolution in the rural Nagpur & It will spread all over rural India. This will improve the efficiency of agriculture .The libraries are most convenient & important for extension education. So we are committed to start this project.
