Ap Studio Art Going Digital - Presentation Transcript
AP Studio Art Going Digital SCAEA Conference North Charleston 2007 Mary Lou Hightower, USC Upstate
AP has entered the Digital World
No more slides after 2008!
Before we talk about the digital change!
What’s new for 2008 submission?
Reading the poster is the key.
Changes for 2008 Submissions
Any work submitted in the Drawing Portfolio that incorporates digital or photographic processes must address drawing issues such as those listed above, as well as mark-making. Using computer programs merely to manipulate photographs through filters, adjustments, or special effects is not appropriate for the Drawing Portfolio. This is the only change from previous years
Advice from the Chief Reader
High quality slides are critical!
If slides are too dark or too light when projected, readers cannot fairly evaluate what they see.
Order of the slides are important to show development of skill and idea. The most developed work should be in the bottom right corner.

The images will have the same information of media, size and comment
The concentration will still have space to answer the questions about the work
Teachers will have:
A username and password
Can interface with the student electronically by leaving them comments about the progress of the work and suggestions
