    1. Being Sure of What We Hope For
      • 29-31 So Moses and Aaron proceeded to round up all the leaders of Israel. Aaron told them everything that God had told Moses and demonstrated the wonders before the people.
      • And the people trusted and listened believingly that God was concerned with what was going on with the Israelites and knew all about their affliction. They bowed low and they worshiped.
Exodus 4 Our God Is an Awesome God!
      •   19-21 The Israelite foremen saw that they were in a bad way, having to go back and tell their workers, "Not one brick short in your daily quota." As they left Pharaoh, they found Moses and Aaron waiting to meet them. The foremen said to them,
      • "May God see what you've done and judge you—you've made us stink before Pharaoh and his servants! You've put a weapon in his hand that's going to kill us!"
Exodus 5 Thanks for NOTHING, God!!!
      •   22-23 Moses went back to God and said, "My Master, why are you treating this people so badly? And why did you ever send me?
      • From the moment I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, things have only gotten worse for this people. And rescue? Does this look like rescue to you?"
Exodus 5 This Wasn’t Supposed to Happen!
    2. Rollercoaster …of LOVE?
    3. Rollercoaster …of LOVE?
      • HEB 11:1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2This is what the ancients were commended for.
      •   24By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. 25He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. 26He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.
      • Note how Moses has been remembered > his frantic freak outs happened, but he still stayed LOCKED on God and what God had promised.
      • Persevered b/c he saw Him who is invisible even in toughest times
      • Typically, we first look and see if it’s safe and then we trust.
      • But TRUST is most powerful when we don’t feel safe
    4. Where are you struggling to trust God? Can you ‘see’ the God who is invisible, even in the hardest of times? "And the leaves of the TREE are for the healing of the nations"
