Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root .

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him , rooted and built up in him , strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

I pray that you, being rooted and established in love , may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge –that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
