The aim is toestablish an annual forum to address gaps between theadvances made by research in the area of privacy, and therelevant policy initiatives.The Annual Privacy Forum 2012 — closing the loop fromresearch to policy takes place on 10th and 11th October inLimassol, in Cyprus and is officially endorsed as one of theevents of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.A ‖Call for papers‖ was published, and 19 papers wereaccepted.The Programme Committee, chaired by Bart Preneel- KULeuven - was composed of 34 world-recognised experts. 2
