Essay Outline

Materials needed
Your outline
A sheet of paper
black or blue pen

Reminder
Three criterions for outlines:
Should show quality of work
Should reflect 2 ½ pages of information
You should be able to hand your outline to someone else, and they would be able to write your essay for you.

Organize: 5 minutes
Look over your outline
Make sure all of your ideas are organized into paragraphs

Read: 5 minutes
Hand your outline to someone else
Write your name on the upper right hand corner of their outline
Reflect on its organization

Write: 15 minutes
On the separate sheet of paper, write your heading on the upper left hand corner
Based on the information given on the outline, write a rough draft of their essay
Write as much as you can, DO NOT try to finish the whole thing

Rough Draft: due 11/29 – 12/3
Reflect on the rough draft that was created for you.
Fill in any gaps in your outline
Outlines will be collected on the day the rough draft is due
Create a rough draft based on your outline
It should run about 1 ½ - 2 pages.
It should be typed.
It should have organized and focused paragraphs.
The only thing that will need to be added are the quotes.
